We do not hold any stock - all of the mirrors
on our website are bespoke and made to order specifically
for you. We are therefore only able to accept
returns if the mirror is faulty.
Can mirrors be hung any way round?
Yes. The mirrors have brackets on all four edges
so that they can be hung vertically or horiztonally.
What is a bevelled and
polished edge mirror?
This is a 3/4 inch (on our framed mirrors) and
25mm (on our plain mirrors) wide edge where the
mirror is slightly angled. A bevelled edge enhances
the finish of the mirror and is highly recommended
by us on all framed mirrors. Plain wall mirrors
typically have a polished edge instead of bevelled.
The polishing smooths the edge of the mirror,
ensuring it is not sharp or brittle.

How do I hang framed mirrors?
The framed mirrors come with brackets attached
to all four edges. Screws should be inserted into
the wall and the mirror's brackets should be placed
directly over the heads of the screws. Wire or
string is NOT used to hang a mirror as the wire
may be cut by the brackets or extert pulling forces
on the edge of the frame that may damage it.
How do I fix plain mirrors to the wall?
There are several methods you can use to fix a mirror of this size. It
is possible for holes to be drilled into the mirror to allow fixing
with screws, we can also supply brackets which are screwed to the wall
allowing the mirror to slot in and out of the brackets alternatively
you can use the gluing method where building adhesive is used to glue
the mirror to the wall.
Go to www.diy.co.uk and do a search on "no more nails" or "unibond".
Can you put any mirror in the bathroom or does it have to be a bathroom mirror?
The
main thing that differs between the bathroom mirrors we sell and the
rest of the range is that the bathroom mirrors contain no wooden parts.
If a wooden back board or frame is subjected to high humidity or gets wet regularly it can potentially warp or buckle.
However, Many of our customers have bought standard timber framed
mirrors that have been hung in bathrooms without any problem. If you
have good ventilation and the mirror is not in a place where it will
get wet it is unlikely that you would have a problem.
What is safety backing on a plain
mirror?
For health and saftey reason, large plain mirrors
always come with safety backing as it prevents
the glass from splintering if ever broken. This
ensures the mirror can be used in the bathroom.
Do you pass on my details to any third parties?
We
will pass your name address and phone number onto our courier for the
purpose of delivery only. Your details will not be passed onto any
other party. Midnightmirrors will not contact you again after the
completion of the sale and delivery unless we have had your permission
to do so.
